What are the rules for TrueROAS affiliates?

Affiliates earn commission only for new customers they bring themselves, never from ads on the TrueROAS name or from people who already use TrueROAS.

Who you earn commission for

You earn commission when someone who is new to TrueROAS opens your affiliate link and starts a paid plan. How to join the program is explained in How does Refer a Friend work and what do we both get?.

A referral earns no commission when:

  • the person already had a TrueROAS account before they opened your link, even if they never paid or have cancelled since
  • the store already uses TrueROAS, even when the person signing up is new to it, for example a new team member
  • the person is you, someone at your own company, or someone signing up for your own stores
  • the visit came from an ad that breaks the rules below

No ads on the TrueROAS name

You may not run paid ads on the TrueROAS name. This covers:

  • search ads on Google, Microsoft Advertising or any other search engine on keywords that contain TrueROAS, True ROAS, trueroas.com or a misspelling of them
  • ads that show TrueROAS or trueroas.com in the headline, the ad text or the display URL

If you run search ads on broader terms, such as "ad tracking tool", add TrueROAS and its spellings as negative keywords so your ads never show to people who search for us.

You can still name TrueROAS in your own content, such as reviews, videos, newsletters and social posts.

What happens when a rule is broken

We check where visits to affiliate links come from, including clicks on ads. Referrals that break these rules earn no commission, and affiliates who keep breaking them are removed from the program.
