How do I choose who gets the daily and weekly report emails?
The store owner gets the report emails, and the owner or an admin can add more people in Email Settings and pick daily or weekly for each.
Who gets the report emails
TrueROAS sends each store a daily report email and a weekly report email.
They go to:
- The store owner, at the address they log in with. When the owner connected a Facebook account that uses another address, the email goes there too.
- Everyone on the store's list set to Daily + weekly. They get both emails.
- Everyone on the list set to Weekly only. They get the weekly email only.
Admins and team members do not get the report emails just because they are on the team. Add their address to the list if they should get them.
If the store owner turned off Receive marketing emails, the owner's own addresses get no report emails, but everyone on the list still does. See How do I stop getting marketing emails from TrueROAS?.
Add or remove people
- Click General Settings at the bottom of the left menu and open the Store Settings tab.
- Under Store Management, click Manage on the Email Settings card.
- Under Report Emails (Choose who gets the daily and weekly reports. The store owner gets them too.), type an address in the box that reads name@store.com.
- Next to the box, pick Daily + weekly or Weekly only. A new address starts on Daily + weekly.
- Press Enter or click Add. The address appears in the list and you see Report emails updated.
- To remove someone, click the x next to their address. You see Report emails updated again.
To change how often someone gets the reports, pick Daily + weekly or Weekly only next to their address. You see Report emails updated.
Each change is saved straight away. There is no save button, and a removal does not ask you to confirm. While a change saves, Add reads Saving....
- An address that is not a valid email shows Enter a valid email address and is not added.
- An address that is already on the list, even with different capital letters, shows That email is already on the list.
- If saving fails, you see Could not save. Please try again. and the list goes back to how it was.
When no one is on the list, it reads No one else gets these yet. Add a teammate or your agency. The store owner still gets the emails. If you are an admin or a team member, add your own address to get the reports.
Under the list, the Incremental Attribution switches choose which numbers the emails show. Attribution is how TrueROAS decides which ad gets the credit for a sale. How Incremental Attribution moves that credit is explained in What is Incremental Attribution and how does it work?.
When nobody is left to email
When the list is empty and the store owner turned off Receive marketing emails, no daily report email is sent. The weekly report is still made and appears on the Reports page, without an email. See What is in the Weekly summary report?.
There is no switch that turns the report emails off for the whole store. To stop them completely, remove every address from the list and have the store owner turn off Receive marketing emails.
Good to know
- The list is saved for the whole store. Everyone who opens Email Settings on this store sees the same list.
- Only the store owner or an admin can change the list. For everyone else, the boxes and buttons are greyed out.
- Each store has its own list. If you have several stores, set up the list in each one.
- Manage on the Email Settings card is greyed out until you have added a store.
- The list is sorted by email address.
- Everyone gets the same email with every recipient in the To line, so the people on the list can see each other's addresses.
- Each report email ends with You get this because you're on this store's daily report list., or weekly report list in the weekly email, and a Change who receives it link that opens the Store Settings tab.
- The Unsubscribe link in a report email does not take an address off the list. To stop the emails for one person, remove their address from the list. What the link does is explained in How do I stop getting marketing emails from TrueROAS?.
- Alert Agent emails have a list of their own. See What are Alert Agent reports?.
- On a phone, the Email Settings window fills the screen and each address sits above its Daily + weekly or Weekly only choice.
