Why is a page locked behind Upgrade to Pro?
On the Basic plan, LTV, Product Attribution, Customer Journeys, Cost Manager and API Access stay locked until the store moves to Pro or Premium.
Which pages need Pro
On the Basic plan, these pages open behind a lock:
| Page | Where to find it | Title and text on the lock |
|---|---|---|
| LTV | Analysis in the left menu | LTV Insights, Upgrade to Pro to unlock lifetime value analytics, product performance, and customer journey insights. |
| Product Attribution | Analysis in the left menu | Product Insights, Upgrade to Pro to unlock product-level performance analytics and see which products drive the most revenue. |
| Customer Journeys | Analysis in the left menu | Customer Journeys, Upgrade to Pro to see every touchpoint in your customers' path to purchase. |
| Cost Manager | Setup in the left menu | Cost & Profit Management, Upgrade to Pro to track product costs, manage profit margins, and see true profitability. |
| API Access | Integrations, then Manage on the TrueROAS API card | API Access, API access is included in the Pro, Premium, and Enterprise plans. Upgrade to connect external tools to your TrueROAS data. |
In Events Manager, the Optimize for profit instead of revenue switch is greyed out on the Basic plan too. See Can I send profit instead of order value to Meta and Google?.
What the lock looks like
The page loads behind a blurred, faded layer, and nothing under it can be clicked. In the middle sits a box with a lock icon, the title and text from the table above, and an Upgrade to Pro button.
On LTV and Product Attribution, the setup card can still show above the lock. See What does the setup card at the top of the Dashboard mean?.
Upgrade to Pro
- Click Upgrade to Pro in the box. The button reads Loading... while TrueROAS looks up your new price.
- A window titled Upgrade to Pro opens, with Unlock CAPI, LTV insights, product analytics, cost management & more under the title.
- Each part of your plan that changes is listed with its name and Currently followed by what you pay now. The new price is on the right. The period is written as /mo, /qtr or /yr.
- If you pay for the CAPI add-on, a green note that starts with CAPI add-on will be removed tells you the add-on is dropped, because Pro includes it.
- Under Due today: you see an amount, with the note Prorated for the remaining time on your current billing period.
- Click Confirm Upgrade. The button reads Upgrading... while it works, and the window cannot be closed until it is done. To close the window without any change, click Not now instead.
- You see Upgraded to Pro! Reloading... and the page reloads after about 1.5 seconds, now unlocked.
If your price cannot be loaded, the window does not open and a red message says what went wrong. If the upgrade fails, the window stays open with a red message. Try again, or contact support as described in How do I get help or contact TrueROAS support?.
Good to know
- The lock only shows when the plan that pays for the store is the Basic plan. On Pro and Premium, on older plans, and for stores that pay through the Shopify app, these pages are open. What each plan includes is in What is the difference between the Basic, Pro and Premium plans?.
- The upgrade changes the plan that pays for the store, which is usually the store owner's plan. The pages then open for the whole store, and for any other store paid for by the same plan.
- Your billing period stays the same, so a monthly plan stays monthly, a quarterly plan stays quarterly and a yearly plan stays yearly.
- This window only moves you to Pro. To move to Premium or switch to yearly billing, see How do I upgrade, downgrade or switch my plan to yearly billing? and What is the Save 25% Yearly offer in the menu and when can I use it?.
- You cannot unlock a single page, or try a locked page on the Basic plan first.
- Team members only see Cost Manager in the menu when their permissions include it. See What can team members see and change on the Dashboard and Ads Manager?.
