DocsOrder Flow
How do I find an order by its order number?
Click the magnifier next to Order, type the order number, and Order Flow shows that order if it was placed in your date range.
Search for an order
- In Order Flow, click the magnifier icon next to Order, at the top of the first column. Its tooltip reads Find an order by its number.
- Type the order number in the box that opens (placeholder Order number…). You can leave out the #. On a phone, a number keyboard opens.
- If the order is already loaded on the page, it shows right away. Otherwise TrueROAS looks it up 2 seconds after you stop typing. Meanwhile a spinner turns in the box and grey bars fill the table.
- The table shows only the matching order, and the count above it reads for example 1 result for #1234.
- To see the full list again, click the x at the end of the search box. If you delete the number yourself and click somewhere else, the box folds back into the magnifier.
When nothing is found
- No order with that number in the selected dates. shows when no order with that number was placed in your date range. The order may have been placed on other dates. Pick a longer date range and search again, as described in How do I change the date range?.
- Couldn't search right now. Check your connection and try again. shows when the search could not be done.
Good to know
- The number must match exactly. 1234 does not find order 12345, and part of a number finds nothing.
- The search leaves out the same orders as the list. An order hidden by Hide free orders or Hide Draft & In-Store (POS) Orders is not found. See How do I hide free orders from my reports? and What do Show IDs and Hide Draft & In-Store (POS) Orders do?. For other reasons an order does not show, see Why is an order missing from Order Flow?.
- While a search is on, the table ignores the Channel filter. The filter works again when you clear the search. See How do I show only the orders from one channel?.
- An order the search found stays in the list after you clear the search, until the page loads your orders again, for example when you reload it or change the date range.
- You can only search by order number, not by customer name, email, product or amount.
- Export downloads the loaded list, filtered by Channel if you picked one, not only the order you found. See How do I export my orders to a CSV file?.
- The search is not saved. The box is empty again when you come back to the page.
