How do I invite a new client with my discount link?

Copy your invite link from My Clients and send it to a new client, so they sign up, connect their store and get your discount.

You have one invite link for all your new clients. It starts with https://app.trueroas.com/join/ followed by your agency code, and it sits in the box at the top of My Clients.

Use it for a client who will add their own store to TrueROAS. For a store you already added yourself, send the billing link instead, as described in How do I let a client pay for a store I set up?.

  1. Open My Clients from the left menu.
  2. Click Copy link at the end of the box that holds your link. The button reads Copied for 2 seconds.
  3. Paste the link into your own email or chat message to the client.

If your browser does not allow copying, you see Failed to copy link. Select the link in the box and copy it by hand.

The Invite a client button, in the box at the top or in the No clients yet box, opens a window with the same link under Or share your link directly. Its Copy button also reads Copied for 2 seconds.

What your client does

Your client opens the link, logs in or creates an account, connects their store and chooses a plan when TrueROAS asks for one. Your discount is taken off at checkout. The steps they see are in How do I use the invite or billing link my agency sent me?.

What you get once your client has paid

When your client has finished checkout:

  • The store is shared with you, so it appears in your store list. See How do I switch between my stores?.
  • You are added to your client's team with the Store Access role for that store. If you were already on their team, your role stays the same.
  • The store is on My Clients with the label Client paying the next time you open or reload the page.

Good to know

  • Ask your client to open the link in the browser they will pay in. TrueROAS keeps your link in that browser until checkout is done. What goes wrong otherwise is in Why is a client missing from My Clients?.
  • Your discount and the link to you are only added at the checkout TrueROAS shows when it asks a new client to choose a plan. A client who already pays for TrueROAS gets nothing from your link. To give such a client your discount and show their store on My Clients, contact support, as described in How do I get help or contact TrueROAS support?.
  • Stores that pay for TrueROAS through their Shopify bill cannot get your discount, and your link does not connect them to you. Ask such a client to invite you to their team instead, as described in How do I invite someone to my team?.
  • TrueROAS does not put an end date on your invite link, and anyone who has the link can use it.
