How do I use the invite or billing link my agency sent me?
Open the invite or billing link your agency sent, log in or sign up, and pay for your store with your agency discount at checkout.
Which link you have
Your agency can send you two kinds of links. Open the link and check what the page shows.

The agency name on these pages is the first name or the name saved on your agency's TrueROAS login.
Log in or sign up first
If you are not logged in, the link first opens the TrueROAS login screen, Welcome back. Log in, or click Sign up next to New here? to create an account. Both are explained in How do I create a TrueROAS account and log in?.
Once you are logged in, the page from the link opens. A brand new account first sees a welcome window with a few questions, as described in How do I set up TrueROAS for the first time?.
If you got an invite link
- Open the link in the browser you will pay in, and log in or sign up.
- The page shows your agency's name followed by invited you to TrueROAS. A percentage discount reads, for example, 30% off your subscription. Other discounts read An exclusive discount has been applied for you. TrueROAS now remembers your agency's discount in this browser.
- Click Continue to go into TrueROAS.
- Add your store, as described in How do I add a store to TrueROAS?.
- When TrueROAS opens the window that asks you to choose a plan, pick your plan there and pay on Stripe's payment page. Your agency's discount is taken off at checkout. See How do I choose a plan and start my subscription?.
After you pay, your agency gets access to that store, so they can see its numbers and help you with it. If your agency is not on your team yet, they join it with the Store Access role for that store. You can change what they can see, or remove them, on the Team tab in General Settings. If you got a billing link
- Open the link and log in or sign up.
- The page shows Set up billing for and your store's name. It says that your agency set up TrueROAS for your store, invited you to manage the payment and keeps managing the store.
- With a percentage discount, a green line reads, for example, Your 30% agency discount is applied at checkout.
- Under Choose your plan, click Basic, Pro or Premium, then Monthly or Yearly. The price shows per month (/mo) or per year (/yr), before your discount. What each plan includes is explained in What is the difference between the Basic, Pro and Premium plans?.
- Click Set up billing and pay on Stripe's payment page.
If the payment page cannot open, the page shows Couldn't start checkout. Please try again.
After you pay:
- You pay for the store from then on, and your agency keeps managing it with all its access.
- If you are not on your agency's team yet, you join it with the Store Access role for that store, so the store appears in your store list. See How do I switch between my stores?.
- What you can see and change with that role is explained in What can team members see and change on the Dashboard and Ads Manager?.
If the page says Link not valid
A link that opens a page titled Link not valid cannot be used to pay. Under the title you see one of these messages:
- This link has expired or is no longer valid. Please ask the agency to send a new one.
- This billing link is no longer valid. A newer link may have been sent.
- This is not a valid billing invite link.
- Invalid link. No link code provided.
Ask your agency to copy the billing link for your store from their My Clients page and send you that one. It opens the page described under If you got a billing link.
Good to know
- Your agency's discount from an invite link is kept in the browser where you opened the link. Choose your plan in that same browser. If you signed up without opening the link, open it again while logged in before you choose a plan.
- The discount from an invite link is only used when you choose your plan in the window TrueROAS opens to ask you for one.
- Only one discount is used at checkout. The prices in the plan window do not include your agency's discount, and your agency's discount replaces any limited-time offer the window shows.
- The prices on a billing link page are the ones for stores with $10k to $40k in monthly sales. How your price follows your sales afterwards is explained in How is my TrueROAS price worked out?.
- A store that pays for TrueROAS through Shopify cannot use a billing link. Its page reads This store is billed through Shopify, so payment is handled there. Please contact your agency.
- If an invite page reads An agency invited you to TrueROAS, the link does not match an agency, for example because part of it is missing. Ask your agency to send it again and open the new link. Until you do, choosing a plan can fail with Error starting checkout. Please try again.
