How do I use the Dashboard on my phone?

On a phone the tabs sit above a full-width date button, the controls and cards stack, and wide tables like the channel table scroll sideways.

What changes on a phone

Everything on the Dashboard is available on a phone. The layout changes:

  1. The dashboard tabs sit in a row you can scroll sideways, with the date range button stretched under them. When you scroll down, the date range button stays pinned at the top of the screen, a little narrower so it does not cover your profile picture.
  2. Below 600 px the controls stack one per line: Compare to, the Incremental Attribution switch, Export for AI, Share dashboard and Edit Dashboard. From 600 to 899 px they sit in two rows, Compare to with the Incremental Attribution switch, then Export for AI, Share dashboard and Edit Dashboard.
  3. The AI Summary keeps its full text.
  4. Cards stack under each other. Below 600 px, small cards go two per row and every other card takes the full width. From 600 to 899 px, small cards take a third of the row, medium and large cards half, and wide cards the full width. A line that is not full is stretched to fill the row, so a small card on its own takes the full width. Sections lose their border and background to save space.
  5. Below 600 px the Meta CAPI bar uses shorter text, +~11% with Meta CAPI with Install, or Recovering ~15-17% of purchases. Its extra platform icons only show on screens 900 px wide or wider. See What does the Meta CAPI bar at the top of the Dashboard mean?.
  6. Below 600 px, the Share Dashboard and Incremental Attribution windows fill the whole screen.

Cards that show less

The channel table keeps all its columns. Swipe sideways inside the table to see the ones that do not fit. See How do I read the channel table on the Dashboard?.

A few cards do show less:

  • Cost Breakdown drops the % of Revenue column below 600 px.
  • Recent Orders names its last two columns First and Last and shows icons instead of source names.
  • Sales Trend shows a single Sales column with the difference below 600 px, instead of the two periods side by side.
  • The Channels chart uses smaller bars and labels below 600 px.

The editor on a phone

Edit Dashboard works on a phone. Below 600 px the top bar stacks, the New Dashboard button reads New, Exit Editor stretches across the screen and in Available Metrics the search box sits above the tabs. From 600 to 899 px the top bar stays on one row. On any screen narrower than 900 px, the editor shows small cards at a third of the row, medium cards at half and large and wide cards at the full width, so the editor does not always match the Dashboard. See How do I add, move, resize and remove cards on a dashboard?.

Good to know

  • The phone layout is used on screens narrower than 900 px, which includes small tablets held upright. Wider tablets get the desktop layout.
  • Your date range, Compare to and Incremental Attribution are saved to your login, so a phone shows the same period and settings as your desktop.
  • The date range picker shows its presets in two columns under the calendar. It works the same way as on desktop. See How do I change the date range?.
  • The phone layout cannot be switched to the desktop layout other than by using a wider screen.
