How do I export my campaign data to a CSV file?

Click Export Campaign Data under the campaign table and pick Campaigns, Ad sets or Ads to download that level for your date range as a CSV file.

Download the file

  1. Open the Ads Manager and pick the date range you want. See How do I change the date range?.
  2. Wait until the table has finished loading.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Export Campaign Data.
  4. Pick a level in the menu: Campaigns (One row per campaign), Ad sets (One row per ad set, with its campaign) or Ads (One row per ad, with its campaign and ad set).

Your browser downloads a file named campaign-data- followed by the level and the date and time of the download, for example campaign-data-campaigns-2026-10-01-1430.csv, campaign-data-adsets-2026-10-01-1430.csv or campaign-data-ads-2026-10-01-1430.csv. Open it in Excel, Google Sheets or any other spreadsheet tool.

The button is greyed out while there is nothing to export. If the level you pick has no rows, nothing downloads and no message appears.

What the rows are

Each file holds one level, so you can add up a column without counting the same orders on a campaign and again on its ad sets and ads.

  • Campaigns: one row per campaign, with its name in the campaign column. Each entry under Organic & Unassigned is also a row in this file, with no spend. Most of these rows are named after the source TrueROAS recorded, for example google organic, direct or a web address, so the name can differ from the one in the table.
  • Ad sets: one row per ad set, with a campaign column and an adset column.
  • Ads: one row per ad, with campaign, adset and ad columns.

To get all three levels, download three files.

What the columns are

After the name columns, every file has the same columns in this order.

Columns that come from the ad platform:

Column in the fileMeaning
spendAd spend.
impressionsTimes the ads were shown.
clicksAll clicks.
ctrClick-through rate.
cpcCost per click.
cplcCost per unique outbound link click.
cpmCost per 1,000 impressions.
frequencyAverage times each person saw the ad.
inlineLinkClicksClicks on links in the ad.
actions_purchasePurchases the ad platform reports.
actions_addToCartAdd to cart events the ad platform reports.

Ratios worked out from the spend:

Column in the fileMeaning
roastrPurchaseValue divided by spend.
ncRoastrNewCustomerValue divided by spend.
trueRoastrPurchaseValue plus a third of trAssistValue, divided by spend.

Columns tracked by TrueROAS, which start with tr:

Column in the fileMeaning
trPurchasesOrders TrueROAS gave to the row. Conversion in the table.
trPurchaseValueRevenue from those orders. Sales in the table.
trNewCustomerPurchasesFirst-time orders. New Customers in the table.
trNewCustomerValueRevenue from first-time orders. NC Sales in the table.
trAssistsOrders the row assisted. Assist in the table.
trAssistValueRevenue of the assisted orders.
trLeadsLeads tracked by TrueROAS.

For what each number means, see What do the columns in the Ads Manager mean?.

Good to know

  • The files always have the same columns, no matter which columns you show in the table.
  • Each file contains every campaign that was loaded, including the ones hidden by the search box, a platform button or Campaign Auto-Filters, and the ones the table leaves out because they had no spend and no sales in your date range. Filter in your spreadsheet instead.
  • Campaigns that the Meta or Google Campaign Name Filter leaves out are not in the files. See What is the difference between the Meta Campaign Name Filter and Campaign Auto-Filters?.
  • Organic & Unassigned entries are only in the Campaigns file.
  • The files hold the click-based numbers. Sales moved by Incremental Attribution and sales added by View-Through are not in them, so with either switch on, the file and the table differ.
  • trueRoas in the file differs from the True ROAS column in the table, which adds a smaller share of assisted sales and also counts view-through sales. See What do the columns in the Ads Manager mean?.
  • The date range is not written in the file or its name. The name carries the level and the time you downloaded it, so note the period yourself.
  • Amounts are plain numbers without a currency sign.
  • There is no profit, COGS or refund column, no Summary row, no file with all three levels in one, and no scheduled or automatic export from the Ads Manager.
