How do I search for a product and move through the list?
Type part of a product name in Search products, and use Rows per page and the arrows under the list to see the rest of your products.
Search by product name
- Click the Search products box above the product list, with By Product Name under it. Once you click it, the box reads Type to search products... until you start typing.
- Type part of the product's name. The list shows only the products whose name contains your text, starting on the first page. Capital and small letters are treated the same.
- To see every product again, clear the box.
What the search looks at:
- Only the name in the Product column. It does not find a product by its SKU or its product ID.
- The name shown can include a variant, such as a size or a colour, so a search for the name of another variant may not find the product. Search for part of the product's own name instead. Which name is shown is explained in what the numbers and names in the list mean.
- Only the products in the list for your date range. A product that is not listed for that period cannot be found. See why a product can be missing from the list.
When nothing matches, the list is empty and the line under it reads 0–0 of 0. While the list loads, the search box is greyed out.
How the list is ordered
The product with the highest Sales comes first, and search results keep that order. You cannot sort the list by another column.
Move through the list
Under the list:
- Rows per page: sets how many products show at once, 25, 50 or 100. It starts at 50 each time you open the page, and changing it takes you back to the first page.
- The line next to it, for example 1–50 of 120, shows which products you are looking at and how many there are in total.
- The arrows on the right take you to the previous or the next page. The left arrow is greyed out on the first page and the right arrow on the last page.
While the list loads, these controls are greyed out too.
Good to know
- The search, Rows per page: and the page you are on only change what you see. They are not saved and start over when you open the page again.
- When the list shows sample products, the search looks through those. While your login has no store, each letter you type brings up a new set of them. See why the list can show products you don't sell.
- You cannot search by channel or ad, or filter the list by a source.
- The product search in Cost Manager works differently from this one. See How do I add my product costs in Cost Manager?.
