How do I build or change a dashboard with AI?

In the editor, describe the dashboard you want in the Create with AI or Edit with AI box and TrueROAS builds or changes it for you and saves it.

Describe what you want

1. Click Edit Dashboard. To build a new dashboard, click New Dashboard in the top bar first. See How do I create, rename, make private or delete a dashboard?.
2. Above the dashboard you see a box titled Create with AI on a dashboard still named New Dashboard, or Edit with AI on any other dashboard. Whatever the title, the AI builds a new dashboard from scratch when the dashboard has no cards, and changes the current one when it has at least one card.
3. Type what you want in plain words. The box suggests Show me a dashboard focused on Meta and Google performance. for a new dashboard, or Add Paid Traffic, Impressions, Clicks, on top of the dashboard for an existing one.
4. Press Enter, or click the arrow button at the bottom right of the box. Shift + Enter starts a new line.
5. A progress bar fills while a countdown next to it counts down from 60 seconds. The message above it changes every 5 seconds, from Adding data to prompt... to Last calculations... The AI can take up to two minutes, so keep waiting when the countdown reaches 0.
6. The dashboard is replaced with the result, saved, and the editor closes. You see Dashboard generated & saved!

If it does not work

• Request took too long, ask a less complicated question. Try again with a shorter request, for example one platform or a handful of cards.
• Failed to generate dashboard. or Failed to edit dashboard. followed by a status number: wait a moment and try again. If it keeps failing, contact support.
• The result is gone after you reload the page. Dashboard generated & saved! also appears when the save fails, so ask again.

Good to know

• The AI picks and arranges cards from the same list you see under Available Metrics. It cannot invent a new kind of card or change how a number is calculated.
• The AI only gets your request, the list of cards and, on a dashboard with cards, its current layout. It does not see your numbers, so it cannot pick cards based on how your store is doing.
• On a dashboard that already has cards, the result replaces the whole dashboard, including the cards you did not mention. There is no undo. To keep the old layout, build the new one on a New Dashboard.
• The result is saved to the whole store right away, so everyone on the store sees it, unless the dashboard is private.
• The box does not change your ad accounts or your settings.
• The + button in the box (tooltip Add an image for Trew to look at, or a creative for a new ad) belongs to Trew Media Buyer and adds nothing to the dashboard. See What is Trew Media Buyer and how do I use it?.
• One sentence that names the platforms and the numbers you care about works best.
