Why does Trew ask me to approve ad changes in parts?
A plan with more than 10 changes runs in parts of up to 10, and you decide after each part whether Trew continues.
Why a plan is split
Trew makes changes in your ad account one at a time, and Meta and Google can make each change wait. A plan with dozens of changes takes too long to run in one go. So when a plan has more than 10 changes, Trew splits it into parts of up to 10 changes each.
You see the split in the chat. The first message says how many changes the plan has and how many parts it runs in. Each part is its own plan card, marked for example part 2 of 6.
Approve a plan in parts
- Read the changes listed on the card for the first part.
- Click Approve all 10 to make those changes. The number on the button is the number of changes in that part.
- Wait until the card shows Done. The card for the next part then appears in the chat.
- Repeat for each part until the last one is done.
Stop part way
- On the card for the next part, click Not now.
Trew stops there. The parts you already approved stay as they are in your ad account. The parts you did not approve are not made.
To take back a change that was already made, read What is Trew Media Buyer and how do I use it?.
Good to know
- Only the store owner or an admin can approve a part. Team members can see the cards.
- Changes that belong together stay in the same part. For example, a new ad is in the same part as the creative it uses.
- If one change in a part fails, Trew stops there and does not show the next part. The changes made before the failure stay.
- Waiting between parts does not count as Trew usage.
- You cannot approve all parts with one click, and you cannot change the size of a part.
- You cannot skip a part and approve a later one. Parts run in order.
