Why is a product missing from the Cost Manager table?
The product table only lists products sold in your 100 most recent orders, loaded when you open the page, so some products can be missing.
Where the products in the table come from
When you open Cost Manager, TrueROAS reads your 100 most recent orders and lists every product sold in them under Search Products, with the product sold most recently at the top. How to enter costs in the table is explained in How do I add my product costs in Cost Manager?.
- Each product shows the name it had on your most recent order with that product. The SKUs sold follow the name, separated by commas, and a long list is cut off.
- The plus sign next to a product only opens the variants that were sold in those orders, not every variant the product has in your store.
- While the table loads, it shows five grey placeholder rows.
Why a product is not listed
- It was not sold in your 100 most recent orders. On a busy store, these orders can cover only a short time, such as the last day.
- Your orders reached TrueROAS without a list of the products bought. Such an order still counts as one of the 100, but adds no products to the table. If none of your recent orders has a product list, the table stays empty.
- It was sold after you opened Cost Manager. The table is built once, when the page opens, so reload the page to include your newest orders.
- The Search by product name box still has text in it. The table then only shows the products that match it. When nothing matches, the table is empty and no message is shown. Clear the box to see every product again.
- Your orders could not be loaded. An error message appears and the table stays empty. Reload the page to try again. A store without any orders yet also shows an empty table, without a message.
- You are looking at another store. Cost Manager lists the products of the store selected in the store list at the top of the left menu. See How do I switch between my stores?.
Add costs for products that are not listed
- Import the costs from Shopify or from a CSV or Excel file. A cost saved this way is used for that product's orders, also while the product is not in the table. See How do I import product costs from Shopify or a spreadsheet?.
- Or set the Product Cost card. Its percentage of the price is used for every product without a cost of its own. See How do I add my product costs in Cost Manager?.
Good to know
- The costs you enter in the table are saved for the whole store, so everyone on the store sees the same costs.
- You cannot sort the table, load more orders into it, or list products from your store that have not sold recently.
- On a phone, the table scrolls sideways.
- For a tour of the whole page, see What is Cost Manager and what can I do there?.
