How do I get a report from Trew on a schedule?

Set up a scheduled job with Trew and get the same report by email and in Trew every day, week or month.

Set up a job

  1. Open Trew Media Buyer from the left menu.
  2. In the panel on the right, click Jobs, then New job. Trew starts a new chat with you.
  3. Tell Trew what the report should answer, for example "Which ads made money yesterday on verified sales?". Trew asks follow-up questions to make it specific.
  4. Trew runs the report once right away so you see exactly what you will get. Ask for changes until it looks right.
  5. Tell Trew how often it should run (every day, week or month) and at what hour. The hour is in your store's time zone.
  6. Tell Trew who should get the email. Your own address is suggested first, and you can add more.
  7. Confirm, and Trew saves the job.

Where the report arrives

  • By email, to every address on the job.
  • In Trew, in a chat with the job's name. Click the job under Jobs to open it. You can reply there to ask a follow-up.

When a job suggests a change

A job can suggest changes to your ads, for example pausing an ad that loses money. The email then has a Review and approve button, and the same plan shows in the job's chat in Trew. Nothing changes in your ad accounts until you approve.

Switch a job off, run it now or remove it

Under Jobs in the panel on the right, each job has:

  • A switch to turn it off and on again.
  • Run now to send the report right away.
  • Remove, which you click twice to confirm. Removing a job also removes its history.

To change what a job checks, when it runs or who gets it, ask Trew in any chat, for example "change my daily profit check to 7 in the morning".

Good to know

  • Only the store owner or an admin can create, change, switch off or remove jobs. Team members can see the jobs.
  • Every run counts as Trew usage. Read How does Trew usage work and what does it cost?.
  • A store can have up to 10 jobs, and each job can go to up to 10 email addresses.
  • Reports cannot be sent by WhatsApp or SMS yet.
  • The Jobs panel does not show on phones.
