What can team members see and change on the Dashboard and Ads Manager?

See which pages each team role can open, which settings only the store owner or an admin can change, and what every team member can change.

Roles and permissions

When you invite someone, as described in How do I invite someone to my team?, you give them one of three roles under Choose role:

  • Admin (Full access + manage team & billing). An admin always has every permission below, and that cannot be changed.
  • Team Member (Full access to all stores).
  • Store Access (Access to selected stores only). They only see the stores you tick.

Under Permissions you then turn parts of TrueROAS on or off for that person. The Data Access row mentions attribution, which is how TrueROAS decides which ad gets credit for a sale.

Pages a team member can open

Everyone on the store can open the Dashboard, the Ads Manager, Trew Media Buyer and Reports. Because Data Access is always on, the pages under Analysis are there too. The other permissions decide what else is in the menu:

For where each page sits in the menu, see How do I find pages in the menu and fold it in?.

Settings only the owner or an admin can change

These settings apply to everyone on the store, so only the store owner or an admin can change them. Anyone else gets a message saying so, or sees the setting greyed out.

What any team member can change

Anyone who can open the page can change these, and the change applies to the whole store:

These are saved to each login, so changing them does not change what anyone else sees:

Campaign Auto-Filters and the Meta ad accounts picked in Choose Meta ad accounts can come from the store owner's choice. See How do Campaign Auto-Filters work? and Can I combine several Meta ad accounts in one store?.

Good to know

  • A role and its permissions only change what that one person can open and do.
  • Turning off Cost Manager removes the page from the menu, but profit numbers on the Dashboard and in the Ads Manager stay visible.
  • You cannot hide the Dashboard or the Ads Manager from anyone with access to the store, or make them read only.
