What do Show IDs and Hide Draft & In-Store (POS) Orders do?

Show IDs adds the ad platform ID next to each name, and Hide Draft & In-Store (POS) Orders leaves out draft and in-person Shopify orders.

Show IDs

Turn it on to see the ID your ad platform uses for each campaign, ad set and ad next to its name. This helps when you need to match a row in TrueROAS with the same campaign inside Meta, Google or another platform.

  1. On desktop, click the gear icon (tooltip Attribution and filtering settings).
  2. Find the Show IDs section (Show the ID your ad platform uses for each campaign, adset and ad, next to its name. Click an ID to copy it.) and turn on the switch.
  3. Back in the table, click any ID to copy it.

Hover over an ID to see Copy ID. After you click, it reads Copied. IDs show on campaign, ad set and ad rows only, not on the rows under Organic & Unassigned, and an ID that is the same as the name is not shown twice.

On mobile, the Show IDs switch is in the settings card at the top of the Ads Manager.

If saving fails you will see Couldn't save this setting. Try again.

Hide Draft & In-Store (POS) Orders

Shopify stores only. Turn it on to leave out draft orders that were never completed and orders sold in person through Shopify POS, so your campaign numbers only count online sales.

  1. On desktop, click the gear icon (tooltip Attribution and filtering settings).
  2. Under Data Filters (Filter which data is shown in reports), turn on Hide Draft & In-Store (POS) Orders (Exclude incomplete draft orders and orders sold in person through Shopify POS).
  3. You will see Draft and POS orders hidden. Turn it off again to see Draft and POS orders now visible. If saving fails you will see Error updating setting.

The same switch is under General Settings > Store Settings > Reporting Settings > Data Options.

The switch also changes the sales and orders on the Dashboard, including the comparison period. With it on, some other Shopify orders are left out as well, such as orders with a pending payment. Which orders count is explained in Why don't my TrueROAS numbers match Meta or Shopify?.

Good to know

  • Show IDs is saved to your login and only changes your own view. Other people on the store see IDs only if they turn it on too.
  • Hide Draft & In-Store (POS) Orders is saved for your login on this store. When the store owner or an admin turns it on, it applies to the whole store, and only they can turn it off again.
  • The draft and POS switch only appears for Shopify stores.
  • The Recent Orders card on the Dashboard does not follow this switch. Which orders it leaves out is explained in How do I see the latest orders and where they came from?.
  • IDs are read only. You cannot rename a campaign or change its ID from TrueROAS.
  • On mobile only Show IDs is available in the Ads Manager. The draft and POS switch needs the gear panel on desktop or General Settings > Store Settings > Reporting Settings.
  • Both switches sit in the same panel as the filters described in What is the difference between the Meta Campaign Name Filter and Campaign Auto-Filters?.
