How do I select creatives and export them to a CSV file?
Tick creatives to see their total spend, sales and ROAS, then download them, or the whole table, as a CSV file.
Select creatives
- Open the Ad Performance tab in Creative Lab.
- Tick the box at the start of each row you want.
- To select every creative in the table, tick the box in the header row. Tick it again to clear them all. While only some rows are ticked, the header box shows a dash, and ticking it selects every creative.
As soon as one row is ticked, a bar under the table shows how many you picked, for example 3 selected, with three totals:
| Total | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Total Spend | The spend of the ticked creatives added up, rounded to a whole amount. |
| Total Sales | The TrueROAS sales of the ticked creatives added up, rounded to a whole amount. The sales Meta reports are not part of it. |
| Avg ROAS | Total Sales divided by Total Spend. It is not an average of the rows. It is coloured the same way as ROAS in the table. |
Because Total Sales only counts TrueROAS sales, a creative that shows only Meta's figures adds its spend but no sales, which lowers Avg ROAS. Why a creative can have only Meta's figures is explained in Why are creatives missing or showing no TrueROAS sales in Creative Lab?.
Export to a CSV file
- Click the download icon above the table on the right, next to the column icon. Its tooltip reads Export all as CSV, or, when rows are ticked, for example Export 3 selected rows as CSV.
- Your browser downloads a file named creative-lab-export followed by the date, for example
creative-lab-export-2026-10-14.csv. Open it in Excel, Google Sheets or any other spreadsheet tool.
Which rows are in the file:
- With rows ticked, only those creatives. With nothing ticked, every creative in the table.
- One row per creative, as in the table, in the order the table is sorted.
Which columns are in the file:
- The columns you show in the table, in the same order, without the picture and AI Review. A column you hide is left out of the file. How to pick the columns and sort the table is explained in How do I sort the creatives and choose the columns in Creative Lab?.
- ROAS, Sales and Orders each become two columns, one with the TrueROAS figure and one with the figure Meta reports. All other columns keep the name they have in the table.
| In the table | In the file |
|---|---|
| ROAS | True ROAS and Meta ROAS |
| Sales | True Sales and Meta Sales |
| Orders | True Orders and Meta Orders |
How the values are written:
- Values are plain numbers, without a currency sign, a percent sign or the x after ROAS. CTR, Hook Rate and Hold Rate are percentages, so 1.5 means 1.5%.
- Amounts are not rounded the way the table rounds them, so sales can have decimals in the file.
- A creative without TrueROAS sales has 0 in True Sales, True ROAS and True Orders, while the table only shows Meta's figure for it.
- An empty cell means there is nothing to show, where the table shows -.
What each column means is explained in What do the numbers on the Ad Performance tab mean?.
Good to know
- Ticked rows only change your own screen, and they are not saved. They clear when you reload the page, open another Creative Lab tab or change the dates.
- The date in the file name is the day you download it, counted in UTC, so around midnight it can be one day off from your own date. The dates the numbers cover are not in the file or its name, so note the period yourself. See How do I change the dates in Creative Lab?.
- Meta Sales and Meta Orders already come from the Sales and Orders columns, so you do not need to show those two extra columns to get them in the file.
- The file has no ad IDs, no campaign or ad set names, no links to the pictures and no numbers per day.
- You cannot export the Creative Breakdown lists, the AI results or the Video Analysis results.
- For a CSV file of your campaigns, ad sets or ads, use the Ads Manager export. See How do I export my campaign data to a CSV file?.
