How long do my customers take to buy?
The Time to buy card shows how long customers take from their first visit to the order, per source, against a 28 day line.
What the card shows
Time to buy sits under the Google Ads and Meta Ads cards. Its first line reads, for example, 64% buy the same day. 1.7% take longer than 28 days.
Each row is one bar from 0 to 100% of its orders, split into Same day, 1-3 days, 4-7 days, 8-14 days, 15-28 days and 28+ days. Darker parts are faster. 28+ days is orange, because it falls outside a 28 day attribution window. The number at the end of each row is the share that bought the same day. Point at a part of a bar to see its exact number of orders.
The first row, All orders, covers every order with a visit. Under it come up to 5 sources: the ones that started the most journeys.
How the time is counted
- The time runs from the customer's first visit in the journey to the order, using the visits described in How does TrueROAS build a customer journey?.
- A source's row counts the orders whose journey started with that source.
- Orders without any visit are left out.
Good to know
- Click Why under the card for your store's attribution window and when tracking started.
- Visits from before your attribution window were never saved, so very long journeys show up shorter than they were.
- Shortly after you install TrueROAS, long journeys are still filling in.
- The card follows the customers you picked: All customers, New or Returning.
- Time to buy in the numbers at the top is the average of the same times. See What do the numbers at the top of Customer Journeys mean?.
